Bill Klecka on hammered dulcimer, guitar, cittern, bouzouki, mandolin and vocals. He has been performing bluegrass and Celtic music in Houston for the past 30 years. He founded Wyndnwyre 25 years ago and creates many of the band’s arrangements. His dulcimer playing has a delicacy rarely heard on this ancient instrument.
Mark Johnson on Irish flute, low whistle, tin whistles, guitar, percussion (bodhran, dumbek, bells) and vocals. He has performed with Wyndnwyre since 1985. Mark’s flute playing soars in a class of its own and his improvisational guitar accompaniment adds a driving force to the band’s sound.
Therese Honey on Celtic harp and music history. Therese joined Wyndnwyre in 1985. She has performed at the Carolan Harp Festival in Keadue, Co. Roscommon, Ireland. Also, she has played at the Stone Mountain Highland Games, Milwaukee Irish Festival, the Jackson, Mississippi CelticFest and North Texas Irish Festival, in addition to teaching workshops around the country. Therese plays Celtic dance tunes with rhythmic dexterity and grace.
Kristin Coyle on fiddle. Kristin began performing with Wyndnwyre in 2011. She grew up playing classical violin and, later, viola before discovering Celtic music. Her style weaves through the melody in twist and turns of intrigue and a hint of spice.
